ADULT BASEBALL IN SANGO
Every community loves sports! Even today, we have the sports complex at Exit 8 and the downtown arena as projects in process. Many times, our sports center around our children. However, there was a day when sports like baseball were popular for our local adults.
Sango may not be able to boast about a professional sports team, but through the years the desire to participate in sports hasn’t changed.
We know of two Sango Area teams. The Brown’s Store Team was competitive and belonged to the Montgomery County League. Another was a Fredonia Team that enjoyed the competitive nature of the game but did not participate at the league level.
These teams took baseball very seriously. The Brown’s store even sponsored the complete team uniform. See the picture below.
